Unknown Movements is proud to present an EP from a new artist known as Suhasya. Born in Moscow and imprisoned in a formal music school from a young age, Anastasia Popova found her true passion for music via the ferocity of punk, and later discovered techno amidst the chaos of a particularly dark period in her early 20s. Inspired to make her own music to figure a way out, she took production classes from Unbalance and began recreating her life from scratch, escaping deep down the rabbit hole of wavetable synthesis. Despite the threatening, metallic, bass-heavy sounds on this unrelenting EP, Suhasya’s musical purpose is to connect, to release, and to reduce the weight of loneliness. Her three fast-paced, ’floor-ready tracks here are complimented by a caustic remix from label boss Other Form, with mastering courtesy of Paul Mac.
