"Widma" is a word rich with nuance that defies direct translation. In Polish, it encompasses not just spectres, but also phantoms, ghosts, and wraiths—these are shadows of what once was, or perhaps never truly existed at all. On the other hand, "Mara" evokes something more personal—a weighty presence that descends upon you in the night. It isn’t merely a creature; it is an oppressive force, a vision that lingers long after you awaken. This EP draws its inspiration from solitary walks around Mount Radunia, nestled not far from Wrocław. Once revered as a site of ancient sun worship, Radunia is home to remnants of sacred ramparts, even if it often remains in the shadow of the more famous Mount Ślęża. Yet, when you tread its slopes alone, an uncanny sensation envelops you, as if an unseen companion is walking alongside you, sharing in the experience.
