COUNTER002 Originally Released 01.07.2013 Fabled UK producer and fine purveyor of original West London future-jazz, Nubian Mindz a.k.a Alpha Omega a.k.a Colin Lindo provides us with COUNTER002 - 'Ghost Dreams', including a rare dub-wise remix from Dutch hero Aardvarck. A straight up jam in Lindo's trademark crisp and tough outboard sound, 'New Me' is a shining synth beauty. Our pal Aardvarck reworked it with his 1991-reinforced 'Sun & Moon Mix' - delivered over skype from Bali and totally worth the several days it took to transfer. Characterising a certain melancholia that Counterchange Recordings readily leans towards, the heavy bass and urgent sci-fi funk of 'Ghost Dreams' graces the B in its entirety. For those new-age digital customers 'Capricorn One' keeps things in check with a heavy hypnotic cut.
