Hailing from the Italian city of Brescia, Bertrand. had his first appearances behind the decks of clubs in Milan when he was still a teenager. After spending time in NYC at the age of 21, where he studied music production under electronic club music pioneers, he learned how to incorporate a wide spectrum of influences and creating beyond the common means of electronic dance music. Bertrand.’s musical identity came into its own after relocating to Berlin, where he developed his craft of story-telling via music production and particularly in his unrelenting DJ sets, which skilfully combine electro, UK, break-beat, house, and techno. Bertrand. has brought both club & festival dancefloors to a frenzy djing across Europe and the USA – yet he is equally as capable in the studio. His restless nature and desire for technical perfection bleed into his productions of bass-heavy futuristic soundscapes juxtaposed with more playful melodies have been recognized by labels such as Ellen Allien's BPitch Control and Madalba's Future DeJa Vu among others. He is a co-founder of the platform Kicks & Hugs.
