Preview: Castañeda
La Castañeda was one of the worst asylums in Mexico City, it was closed in 1968 by Gustavo Díaz Ordaz, the Mexican president who promoted the Tlatelolco massacre, under the argument of the torture experienced by the internal patients. today, in that space is the housing unit of the Mixcoac towers, where these musical pieces were composed. This release is a commemoration to the people who lived the horrors of the bad psychiatric practices of the last century and the irony and surrealism in the closing of that hospital.
