Hypnopolis had no geographical position, no tangible borders or physical boundaries, as it existed in a realm beyond the grasp of human understanding. It was a place imaginary and real at the same time; where the veil between realities was thin as gossamer, and the line between life and death blurred and faded away. The dreams that went to die in Hypnopolis are reborn, resurrected by the power of the sleeping inhabitants who breathed life into them. They are like ghosts, drifting through the streets, feeding off the magic ether that permeated Hypnopolis to its core.
