We present a solid EP by Madrid-based Groof. This release sees Lotus Parable leaning into harder sounds, still with a deep and psychedelic signature. The tracks carry both emotional depth and the kind of energy that pulls you onto the dancefloor. We’ve seen it in action during our label night event series, connecting with the crowd at exactly the right moments. And the positive response is what inspired us to share it with you. Explaining the process, Groof said: “This EP contains a series of tracks that I produced without a preconceived idea, concept or direction. Instead, I created music in a totally free way, for the listener to experience and interpret in their own way. There is just one exception – ‘Maar’ – a track dedicated to the surrealist artist Dora Maar, whose work and legacy deserve more recognition than she received in her time.
