Actress is the second album from Hd Substance for our label and the sequel of the previous Actors album released previously on the label. The inspiration comes from classic cinema actresses, their classy look, their inner beauty and translating that classic feel to classic methods of electronic music creation and genres. All music was made using only hardware tools with no computers involved, analog synthesizers, old drum machines, cheap FX units and hardware step sequencers. Everything was mixed on an old analog console and recorded straight into a vintage tape recorder, preserving the production methods from the eighties and nineties of the past century. Using his studio as a whole musical instrument, Hd Substance delivers eight cuts ranging from electro to techno, using his weapons skillfully, emphasizing on sound design only using his own made sound palette.
