Mesaʼs Polar Night is an EP that suspends the listener in sound with atmospheric textures and driving ancient rhythms. From the tranquil suspense of Frozen Forest, you are taken through a forbidding landscape past deep ancient lakes and pines, the keepers of spirits in the stillness. This is the place of Nøkken and Xen. The second portion of the EP kicks up the movement with Suspended in Time and Nocturnal Movements, bringing the hidden spirits to full motion. After the darkest of night, Into Twilight is the end of the journey with the arrival of dawns light, and a representation of new hope.
