Seasons is the result of a grant I worked on in the second half of 2021. Thematically, the EP deals with the translation of nature sounds and sensory impressions that I collected in countless walks in a nearby forest. As part of this scholarship, I have created two works that seasonally outline the rising as well as falling seasons. An important aspect of this was to use field recordings that I captured during these walks, but not to use them as sound collage in the classical sense. These recordings went through various digital signal paths so that they blurred with synthesized sounds, resulting in an independent sonic aesthetic.
